Norman Norris

Norman Norris, 68 of 57 Sarah Street, died Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Hospital.  He was born in Brantford, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Norris and had resided here all his life. Mr. Norris was a machinist with the Goodwin Church Company here for 40 years, retiring in 1960.  During the First World War he served overseas with the 125th Battalion.  He was a member of Colborne Street United church. Surviving are his wife, the former Ethel Street; a son, Kenneth of Long Island, N.Y.; three daughters, Mrs. Wilbert (Norma) Smith of London, Mrs. Donald (Shirley) Fowler, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Takacs both of Brantford; two sisters, Miss Bertha Norris and Mrs. Harry (Edith) Waring both of Brantford; 12 grandchildren.  Mr. Norris is at the Hill and Robinson Funeral Home for service in the chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Soldiers’ Plot, Mount Hope Cemetery.
